I am a mother of two children Ashley and Caleb. I am also the President/CEO of a non-profit organization called Babies So Special which came into existence because of Caleb. He was born with terminal heart defect. During Caleb’s life I realized the journey was very difficult and saw the needs these families require. So Babies So Special helps with those needs such as gas and food cards. Also lodging because more times then not the Ronald McDonald House is full. Whatever they made need during that journey. We also assist with final arrangements in the unfortunate event their child passes away. Babies So Special tries to aid all families as much as possible and we don’t tailor to one type of defect. Our goal is to bring awareness to a community that is often times over looked and forgotten about. The Helping Hearts Benefit Collaboration is going to help. We will be Skyping in 8 chronically ill individuals across our nation that wouldn’t be able to attend because of the aliment. This aspect will help bridge this gap. Babies So Special will continue to fight to bring a voice to this voiceless community.

“If I can make a difference in the lives of others … if I can renew, restore and revive who they were created to be … restore their life, their belief in God, their belief in themselves, their hope for their future, their peace, their joy, and ultimately their love again, not only for themselves, but for others as well … then I will be a true servant leader in my mind.”
