Los Angeles, March 26, 2017 – The Third Annual Legacy Gala was held Friday, March 24, 2017 from 6:30 PM – 11:00 PM at Casa Del Mar Hotel, 1910 Ocean Way, Santa Monica, CA. The Legacy Event awarded two non-profit children’s charities that live out their legacy annually and supported by celebrities, inspirators and visionaries from Hollywoodand the world.
Co-founders Lisa Haisha (Founder of Whispers From Children’s Hearts Foundation and The SoulBlazing Institute™) and Lee Aronsohn (Co-Creator of Two and A Half Men & Former Executive Producer of Big Bang Theory) hosted an inspiring evening filled celebrities, musicians, Silicon Valley titans, luminaries and like-minded people! Whispersfrom Children’s Hearts Foundation specializes in supporting the emotional and spiritual needs of children’s hearts with music, theatre, and singing.
An illustrious line up of the evening’s Legacy Luminaries included Maria Conchita Alonso performing, recording artist Emmanuel Kelly, comedian Kathy Buckley, Panamanian recording star, Richard Rodriguez, celebrity designer Sue Wong and former back up dancer (Prince, Michael Jackson) and now transformational life coach, Andre Paradis. Over 25 celebrities walked a Red Carpet packed with media and joined the guest list of over 220’s VIP’s, sponsors, friends and family of the charities.
The 2017 Legacy Awards recipients receiving a check for $10,000 from the foundation included Akuyoe Graham,founder of the Spiritual Awakening Foundation, dedicated to assisting “at-risk” youth and children in the juvenile justice system in the realization of their spiritual identity and Rickie Byars Beckwith, founder of Kuumba in Motion, an innovative learning academy that nurtures the creative genius within children by inviting them to participate in an education centered on their unique way of learning.
Previous year recipients include Ms. Tige Charity (Founder: Kid’s In the Spotlight Charity), Xiuhtezcatl Martinez Tonatiuh (Teen Founder: Earth Guardians Charity and Hip Hop Artist), Kathy Buckley (Spokesperson/Fundraiser: No Limits For Deaf Children, Stand-up Comedian & Speaker.)
A unique highlight for this year, was the presentation of a Special Proclamation from the City of Los Angelesacknowledging the co-hosts, Lisa Haisha and Lee Aronsohn for their efforts in shining a spotlight and supporting the various children’s charities.
Whispers from Children’s Hearts Foundation is a 501(c)(3) global non-profit children’s
Organization working to foster compassion, cross-cultural understanding and financial support to children locally and abroad and addresses the emotional and spiritual needs of children’s hearts with music, theatre, singing. Through Superhero SoulBlazing Capes of Courage, Lisa’a archetypal superhero characters, inspires children to address their greatest challenges with courage, humor and song. She shares, “We are here to play our greatest roles through who we are becoming.” Through volunteer and humanitarian trips nationally and internationally, while improving the lives of children dealing with debilitating diseases, as well as orphaned children and their surrounding communities.
The Whispers from Children’s Hearts Foundation is designed for anyone who wishes to help children locally or globally. We’re committed to finding the best organizations that offer programs for kids worldwide to get involved with. We offer people the rewarding opportunity to give back in many ways. We all have busy lives, but we have found that taking time out to help out our brothers and sisters makes our lives resonate at a higher level. Compassionate adults that have joined our rewarding WFCH volunteer programs will have the opportunity to be of service in several ways.
